Irish radio enjoyed revenues of €39.8 million in Q1 2025, up 1% versus the same period last year

Revenue for the January to March 2025 period was €39.8 million, up 1% compared to quarter 1 2024. The €39.8million revenue was made up of €31.2 million of spot revenue (radio commercials) which was up 2% for the period. Branded content revenue (sponsorships, partnerships, content solutions) came to €7 million, down 2% while digital audio revenue came in at €1.6 million, down 9% for the period. The digital audio revenue is made up of revenue from Irish radio operators, it does not include revenue from global audio players such as Spotify or Acast. Revenue from media agencies came to €28.6 million, up 1% while revenue coming directly from advertisers was €11.2 million, down 2%.
